WinRAR can be used to create compressed RAR and ZIP archives using your files and folders. It can also extract files from CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, UUE, BZ2, JAR, ISO, 7Z, XZ, and Z archives. WinRAR provides a "Wizard" mode which allows access to the basic archiving functions through a simple question and answer procedure. WinRAR Recovery Record and Recovery Volumes allow you to reconstruct physically damaged archives from storage devices.
